Transporting or placing a safe?

Patrans is market leader in installation and logistics of safes and vaultsAt Patrans, we have been working in transporting safes since 1970 and have become the market leader. As installation specialist, no safe is unknown to us and no assignment is too challenging for us. From certified anchored home safes of 50 kg to prefab safes of 40 tons.

We are affiliated with the ‘Vereniging Geld- en Waardeberging (VGW), the trade association for the supply chain of safes and vaults.

The optimal transport of safes

Moving a safe or a vault is often a specialized task and as market leader this is one of our core activities. We do it gladly and well. As installer, Patrans is the right choice to carry out the transportation of your safe.

Our own Benelux network makes it possible to carry out the relocation of your safe at an attractive rate. For Belgium and Luxembourg, we provide our service under the name Patrans.

Anchoring a safe

An EN 1143 or EN 14450 certified safe often needs to be anchored for insurance. This can be done the traditional way as it has for many years, but we can now also issue a certificate as proof of proper anchoring.

Patrans also offers VGW certified anchorages. This means, among other things, that the pull-out resistance value of the anchors is tested and measured at the location of the safe. This test and measurement is then recorded in the test report. Our field engineers are trained as Authorised Anchorage Provider and can determine whether the anchoring meets the standards as drawn up by the VGW, the Vereniging Geld en Waardenberging. This training has been developed by the Vereniging Geld en Waardeberging (VGW) in collaboration with SOBA (organisation for security trainings) to ensure a proper anchoring for insurers. Patrans's training centre facilitates the practical training days within this course. Thcourse is open to mechanics throughout the supply chain of safes and security.

Proper disposal and recycling of safes

If a safe is damaged in a break-in or has become redundant, removing it can be a challenge. In particular the weight of a safe requires the necessary skills and materials to remove the safe in a correct manner. Furthermore, it is important that the recycling of a safe takes place in an (environmentally) responsible way. This way unnecessary costs as a result of a gate alarm at a processor can be avoided.

In collaboration with Applus RTD and the authority for nuclear safety and radiation protection ‘Autoriteit Nucleaire Veiligheid en Stralingsbescherming’ (ANVS), we have designed the first official waste flow process for safes. For example, various safes already have a "Patrans ID " and we measure the gamma radiation from safes to choose the right recycling process.
